Norwegian Irish Society is arranging a quiz night at The Dubliner Saturday 5th of February, starting at 8 pm.

• Teams of four, kr. 100,- per participant.
• Prizes for the winners. With a touch of Irish class!
• Proceeds to support 2011 St. Patrick’s day celebrations.

Let’s get together before Christmas for a drink and craic.

Venue: Dubliner Pub (back bar, red room) on Friday 10^th December from 19:00 onwards.

Oslo GAA will be holding an end-of-season get-together at their usual watering hole this Saturday.

Here is your chance to get up close and personal with these fine physical brawny specimens….and unfortunately these are also some of the same guys who were the winning team at our recent quiz night ……so come along and meet the guys who have it all!……

They can probably sing too………..

The Halloween Kids Party was a complete success with 88 kids and adults enjoying fun and games, such as snap apple, mummy game, fancy dress parade with applause for and a prize for each child. Christina Scharffenberg had all the children in a ring and told them a Halloween story about Jack of the Lantern, the Hokey Pokey was a great success with instructor Bernadette Hansen in the middle of the ring showing us all how to do it!

Norwegian Irish Society would like to say a big thank you to the people who baked all the lovely cakes!

If you’ve been to the rugby match at Bislet, what better way to end the night with a proper Irish celebration!

Sometimes the weekend just isn’t long enough. That’s one reason why The Norwegian Irish Society is going for a pint this Monday. The more important reason is to welcome any Irish newcomers to Oslo who would like to meet up with other Irish and would-be-Irish people for a bit of banter and a bit of craic.   So why not join us in Dr Jekyll’s Pub this Monday, 27th September, 7pm.

Norish Fest is all about bringing two different cultures together. The Norwegians are coming to learn all about South West Kerry and what a fantastic place this is…. and we are going to make sure that they have a lot of fun in the process! History, food, music, pub and…. craic go leor! It’s going to be great fun getting to know about Norway and our Norwegian friends too – it’s going to be a blast.
