On 17-18 April 2010, the Oslo Irish Set Dancers will host a course in set dancing taught by the legendary Timmy McCarthy from Ballyvourney. Timmy is one of the most experienced set dance teachers in Ireland today. A great time was had by all the last time he was in Oslo. If you dance whether set, céilí, any kind of folk dance, indeed any kind of dance at all you are welcome to join us.

The venue is the Dubliner Folk Pub, Rådhusgata 28, Oslo. The course will be from 12:00 to 16:00 Saturday 17 April and form 13:00 to 17:00 Sunday 18 April. It costs kr 600 for the weekend (kr 500 for members of Oslo Irish Set Dancers).

The Oslo Irish Set Dancers are holding their next monthly Céilí on Monday 22 February 7pm at the Dubliner Folk Pub, Rådhusgata 28, Oslo. There will be live music and we will dance a mixture of set dances and céilí dances the whole evening. Everybody is welcome and it costs kr 100 per person.

We have our first monthly céilí of the year on Monday 25 january at The Dubliner Folk Pub at 7pm. We will dance a selection of set and céilí dances. Admission kr 100. Everybody welcome.
